I agree with someone. I LOVE American Girl so much, and I've VERY surprised they would encourage girls to pass notes during class. American Girl has always taught me and many other girls out there to grow up being their best so I'm definently surprised they would encourage you to do something so irresponsible! I just started middle school this year and I love the teachers. They are really nice, BUT they are very strict and have their expectations. They're nice if you stay on their good side. BUT if I were to get caught passing notes, I would be in SO much trouble. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to besmirch American Girl's name, but I think it's VERY unsmart of them to write a book like this. Please, don't listen to this book. Then again, I have never read this book (and don't plan on wasting my money on it) so I can't say much. BUT, like someone said, DON'T risk getting a nasty comment on your report card, because you were tempted to pass notes because of American Girl. I'm VERY disappointed in you, American Girl.

Here's the review that my 9 year old daughter gives this book: This book was interesting, fun to pass around, and I couldn't wait to turn to the next page to see what was next. There were a variety of funny and engaging activities for both me and my friends to do together. At my age, you love working with your friends on this kind of thing.

Alot of dumb people are saying that this book wants girls to pass notes in class. It never said that it is just notes to pass whenever you want, but it did not ever anyone to pass them during class. Take it from me.

I bought this books for my 9 year old daughter. Here is what she says 1. It helps to think of topics to talk to someone about. The topics are fun to use. 2. I like making fortune tellers from this book. 3. I recommend it to any girl. She would have fun using this book.

Now, wait one moment. This book encourages note-passing in class and at other inappropriate times. Some teachers at my school will sometimes even read out the notes to the whole class right then and there if you get caught. It's obviously not worth taking the chance because of the notes are pointless or embarrassing. But.... this book has awesome little notes in it. I'd get it anyway and pass the notes at recess, lunch, or in between classes. Once, in 6th grade, we were on a bus heading to a field trip. I brought my notes book and used it. So, it's fun on certian occasions. But, don't risk a behavior grade on a school report card to tell someone a joke.

I must say, this book is cool with fun notes to pass to your friends. But it encourages pre-teens to pass notes in class, and that keeps them from learning. Be careful.

This book was really fun- especially the fortune teller things! Plus, you don't have to do so much writing since they already have alot of stuff printed in there! On the bus to a field trip (Of course I brought the big book of notes) my friend and I tore out and passed on the one that says 'tag you're it! sign your name and pass it on' and as the note made it's way up and down the rows of seats in the bus- we learned new peoples' names and even got a signature from our crush! Definatly cool!

This book is great! Especially the cool notes it has! All my friends and I pass them in class (we all loved it and bought it IMMEADITLY!) Most of all, I love filling out things and folding fortune tellers! Oh did I mention the fortune tellers? They're great! Every one has a different subject! I would definetly reccomend this for kids! Every note is just what my friends and I would tell eachother! This book is soo good I can't even explain! You'll just have to see it for yourself at your nearest Barnes and Noble!:)
