    How Interesting!

I was enthralled with this book as soon as I picked it up. I've always been a fan of tall tales, myths, and legends. If you pick up the book hoping for some Super Spooky stories, then you might be dissapointed, because these stories were amusing, but nothing creepy. The comics were very nicely drawn by several different artists to give it a variety of visuals. I would recommend this book only if you're looking for something interesting with comics, rather than the Sunday newspaper or superheros.

Leaves you wondering whether or not...

This book is great. It summarizes all the tales we always hear that happen to a friends, brothers, ex-wife's best friend and so on. It is in comic book form and very funny indeed. If you hesitate to buy it go to Barnes & Noble and just glance through it. That oughta be enough for ya.

Ok, ok ok so big deal. It's a comic book GET OVER IT.

First thing you need to ask yourself is, why are you cuddling up in bed with a comic book? If your answer is, you want to be amused then, Way to go! You figured it out! This book is simply amusing. However not as good as some of the other big books, it is mildly enjoyable. If you want to pick up a Big Book that is very interesting and you are interested in History, Pick up The Big Book of Losers. It is Very well drawn and the history is great. The sense of humor is witty, and the book is entirely engaging. Everyone who I have let borrow it, has been completely enthralled. I recommend The Big Book of Losers. Get it. Enjoy it. Cuddle with it in bed. Just please don't but a comic book and expect to recite plato when you are done. Think of it this way..... If you bought a book, and it says in big Letters : BIG BOOK OF URBAN LEGENDS, what does this tell you? I don't understand what people expect to get from the book, other than just that. 1 page stories about Urban Legends.....

I only read it for the pictures...

Yep, it is a 'big comic book' (as all the 'big book' series are.) Covers many popular urban legends (the hook, poprocks & soda, call from inside the house, etc.) some as a single cartoon other small ones bunched together as well as variations. UL are depicted by many popular cartoon and comic book artists; so not only entertaining story telling, but good comic art as well. I have five of the books so far and look forward to more.
