I received this book for my birthday from a friend. She got me the book because I love the game Balderdash and this book was in the game section as a staple for Balderdash players. I sat around reading words to my friends from the numerous sections and we had a fun time guessing meanings. The book is very helpful for research, papers and general referral. It is also easy to use, as it is organized into sections, such as "words you should know", "words you probably do not know", etc. The book made me realize I have many words 'I should know' and need to brush up on! Definitely better then the calendar word a day! I hope this book increases my vocabulary!

I use this book to help my students enhance their vocabulary. I challenge them to use the words correctly in sentences and to know the definition for when I ask them randomly to tell me what the word means.
