All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The soundtrack to The Big Lebowski, the Coen brothers' follow-up to their breakthrough film Fargo, is an odd mixture of opera, world music, pop, jazz, exotica, folk and blues. Missing Tunes

I just watched the DVD theater release of the Big Lewboski. Really enjoyed the soundtrack and thought it might be worth buying. However ,I am very disappointed that there is no Creedence. I can understand why there is no Eagles , after all , The Dude hates the fu**ing Eagles.

    The best is not included

What happened to Viva Las Vegas, last song on the tape, best rendition I've ever heard of that song, it's missing. Tumbling Tumbleweeds should be the theme song,......missing ! Eagles were left out also. Guess I'll have to wear out my VCR playing THE only genuine sound track !

    A Chillin' Good Time

Never before has a soundtrack portrayed the theme of a movie as good as this. If you like the Dude and his chilled-out personality, this CD is a must. Every song is just as good as the others. So buy it, listen to the music that the dude prefers, and hopefully you too will become a mellowed-out dude that loves to sit back, relax, get faded, and invite your lady-friend over for a good time. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
