Meet the Author

Maggie Greenwood-Robinson, Ph.D., is a leading health and medical writer. She has authored or coauthored more than 30 books, including Good Carbs versus Bad Carbs and The Bikini Diet. She has a doctorate in nutritional counseling.

Kim Lyons, trainer on The Biggest Loser, has been physically active her whole life. A graduate of Colorado State University and the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Kim is also an accomplished writer and has been featured in numerous magazines, including Oxygen, Muscle and Fitness, and Self. When she is not traveling or training, Kim enjoys cooking, studying interior design, and participating in adventure sports. She lives in Hermosa Beach, California.

If you are a fan of the show then you know how hard those people workout to drop the weight. this book offers the nuts and bolts to doing it yourself. Not whole lot of stuff is needed to perform these workouts which is very useful when your time is short.

I have to admit, I didn't even watch the television show. But, a friend of mine did, and nudged me to pick up this book. And, I can tell you, from a 'do this, do that' aspect---this really has had an impact on me, what I do, and the improvements that I have seen in my body! Like the last reviewer, I too recommend another book to go along with this, 'Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow'---it goes with ANY fitness/diet/exercise book!

I would recommend this product to anyone that is just starting out and does not have the means or the time to hit the gym everyday. Has a great workout divided into 3 levels with 3 seperate exercises. Shows each exercise with detailed explanations. has some great recipes to try for someone just getting started on a new way of lifestyle.

I thought that the book was very informative and motivating. It definitively goes along with the "Biggest Loser" television show. I really liked the pictures in the book which actually show what is to be done.
