I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this book once I got into it. I was a bit worried that it would be slightly boring, but I can say that Ms. Lee was able to keep my attention going while reading and I didn’t want the story to end! I do believe that part of that has to do with the characters that she created with this book. Granted, if you have read her other series, Hearts on the Line, then you have met some of the characters, but if you haven’t then you can still start with this one with no problems. I did like how the characters from the other series didn’t overtake this book. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the little updates that we were given about them, but the story was focused on Pryce’s which I loved. Now the characters that I loved, the number one would actually have been Mark’s mother. She had the “evil scorned woman” attitude down pat and I just couldn’t get over how easy it was to not like her, but at the same time, I couldn’t get enough of her. She was so sneaky with what she did; it ended up adding to the story a lot. I also enjoyed some of the other secondary characters. They added a lot to the story and just made it that much more fun to read it. I enjoyed how Hilary was a normal girl. She was working hard for what she wanted, and was willing to do almost anything to show that she was not like her mother. She stood up for herself when she needed too, but was also willing to accept help when she needed it as well. I do have to say that Mark completely caught me off guard. I wasn’t quite expecting to like him as much as I did, but come the end of the book, I wanted to know more! The overall plot of the story was great as well. It wasn’t your typical romance, there were twists and turns that happened that kept me turning the page and wanting to know more. I would really recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great romance to read! Reviewed by Crystal Marie for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy provided for review*

would have been a good story except for all the f-bombs.

This story is amazing. It felt so real and I really liked how the story unraveled. There are characters you will hate and there are others you will love. Friendships are true and honest. Does Hilary learn to trust men? Does Mark want to stay a playboy? You'll have to read it to find out!! I couldn't put the book down and I can't wait to read more by Nadia!! I requested and received an ARC copy from the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

This was such a great book! The characters have crazy backgrounds, and don't trust easily. I loved how each character had to overcome their own fears to be with their love. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Great story. Loved the characters.

This story line has something in common with other books about boy needs to get mom off back about not being married. It does, however, have some really cute, mixed up parts that are enjoyable to read.

A real play on emotions and what our childhoods do to us... He was born rich but his father could not remain faithful... She was born poor of a father who impregnated sisters at the same time... The two babies (girls) were the good girl/bad girl "twins"... The romance was meant to be but neither he nor she thought it could last until he decided to prove to her that love could be real... His mother was the villan and played the part well.. I enjoyed the book and may read the next in series...

~~~ "Nobody can choose how they were born and raised, but everyone can choose how they're going to live." - Josephine (ARC, Loc 1410) ~~~ Hilary's best friend Josephine hit the nail on the head when she said that to Mark. Neither Hilary nor Mark had pleasant family history, but only one of them strove to not let that history define them and it wasn't Mark. Hilary's hangups were understandable given her own...colorful family. She didn't want what her family defined as normal. She wanted a monotonous relationship, one where the man she chose to spend the rest of her life wanted only her, not her and her half-sister/cousin Bebe. They might look alike, they might share a father, their mothers might be sisters, but that was all they shared. Bebe used their strange family history to her advantage, wrecking havoc in Hilary's life because she felt she could. Hilary, on the other hand, was moving on and past that. She had a great job, great friends, and a man who was sure and steady. Given the craziness of her life, sure and steady was the way to go. Except she was missing something: passion. Mark wasn't known as a sure and steady guy when it came to relationships. His parents' marriage was a sham and unhappiness trumped happiness any given day of the week there. It was little wonder his girlfriends were known as "Quarterly Girls". He went through them faster than most people go through a pair of shoes. Three months in and then he's done. Gives them a parting gift and moves on. Really? What the hell kind of life is that? Oh, right. The kind where he'd never experience the hurt his mother experienced because of his father's infidelity. It's okay to want to shield your heart from hurt. But at some point your shield needs to come down. If you're too stubborn to do that, you might miss out on the best thing to ever happen to you. It was a lesson both Mark and Hilary learned. They struggled to get there, mostly because Hilary was still too afraid and Mark wasn't sure what he could do to prove he was for real, that she wasn't another one of his Quarterly Girls. This story is a great opener to The Pryce Family series. Not only did Ms. Lee have one of the Pryce children find love, but she also introduced the rest of the family, prepping her readers for the stories to come. It's an easy read, a little predictable at times, wholly engaging, and a terrific story for anyone who loves billionaire romances but needs something a little different than what they're used to reading in that sub-genre.
