Maria Lorena Lopez and her daughter, Milena, began bird watching eight years ago in Costa Rica. Since then Maria has enjoyed observing birds as well as other animals in their natural habitats. When not writing or bird watching, Maria works as a consultant in civil engineering. She is planning to publish more stories with Milly and Tom as they continue their bird watching adventures in Costa Rica and all over the world.
