Overview

Meet Annwn, a woman from a little village somewhere on the coast of the British Isles. She has lost everything dear in her life: her husband, her infant son, her village, and the precious Birth Trees that provided anchors in her life. She is also captive in the realm of the Fae. To find her way back out and start her life anew, she has to do the impossible.

Sometimes, the impossible can be done - with a stolen story, a ladder, a rope, and a bit of help from a friend.

Meet the Author

I first learned to tell stories on an internet game called AmberMUSH, now long defunct. I stopped playing, but couldn’t stop telling stories! I have been married for twenty years and have four beautiful homeschooled daughters who have often hung over my shoulders, begging for the next chapter (or paragraph, or sentence)! I live in the Pacific Northwest with my family, a shelter-rescue dog, and some urban chickens.

This is a short, but moving story about nobility, courage, and perseverance to take back what is hers in the face of overwhelming odds. It's about a simple peasant woman teaching humility, humanity and the nobility of the human spirit to a powerful immortal person who, for all his power, has no wisdom or the capacity for simple human kindness, until he meets her. It's about family, a Man, his wife and their child, separated by war and tragedy that, because of her courage, find their way back to each other.
