    This book was very spooky I like the way Edgar writes everything in a unique way.

    best first taste of edgar allen poes' work

    i read this when i was in 6th grade it was the first taste i had ever gotten of his work,and it was wonderful.my idea of a horror/mystery story is that if you can't sleep after you've read some of the story you know it's good, and that it was. he just has this way of putting you in the story like your there in person living through it. even though his style of writing when he wrote the story was different from now, and i'll admit it was rather hard reading and understanding it at that time, but none the less it was the best thing i had ever read. also the thing about edgar allen poes' style of writing is that he puts the details in the right spot and just enough detail to make you feel what your reading.and because of the way this story affected me the first time i read it, i now am working on my own stories and poems. all that from one story...you do the math. its wonderful,if you read it you'll never want to put it down!
