December 1879.
Winter is descending on the frontier homestead of Nate Langdon. A blizzard rages. The young farmer now has time to study the "Green Book," a mail-order bride catalogue that arrived from Boston a couple days ago, since there really are not enough suitable women out here in the wilds of the West.
Nate reads--when he hears the neighing of a horse outside. The horse is saddled, but there is no rider.
He checks and finds by the brook the frozen body of a cattle driver. Desperate to save the man, he scoops him up. It takes Nate a minute to realize--he's holding a woman in his arms...

37 pages to this book. The story was 29 pages long. Not worth 99 cents.
