I've download all the free ebooks to my nook and I've read almost all of them. So far TBTB's is by far the best one. As soon as I turned the first page I was pulled into Two's world, wished Revenge to fall on Darren and wanted Theroen and Two to be together forever. There's one thing that happened that was really sad and I really didn't like it
but may be in book 2 I'll be happy again (fingers crossed)(I can't tell ya what it is for it would be a spoiler.) (-:
The characters was well written and I can't wait till the next one is out. I read the excerpt for book 2 and now I wish I hadn't for now I'm hungry for more Now!
(Thumbs up & A+++ from me)

Being an avid Dean Koontz, John Saul, Stephen King reader for 22 years it was hard for me to leave to go to a different type of writing style especially from an author I didn't know. That being said I am in love with this book, the characters were real and I felt all their emotions from this author. It didn't have the ending that was expected in most vampire books and kept me enthralled the entire duration of the novel which is a great feat. I can write so many praises for this book I cannot sum it up but I will be rereading this novel for years to come.

If you're interested in reading page after page of what vampires feel, how they think, what they sound like, and act like then go for it. I felt like I was studying a vampire manual. The actual story is intertwined within learning all about vampires from cover to cover.
The story itself is great but, like I said, you have to read 10+ pages before you get back to a portion of the actual story line. The ending kind of picks up and takes off finishing the story and once I finally reached this part of the book, I enjoyed it greatly.

I dont know how to explain it but i just simply love this story. it was thrilling, dramatic, touching, interesting and much more. I was so close to tears when two of the characters were killed (i wont say who). I think that its definitely worth the download and will keep you interested from the moment you begin reading.

Intriguing that our main character is a prostitute and drug addict, not your typical storybook heroine. While her background does not initially endear her to the reader she does become more likable as her life is forever changed by her lovely vampire. I do have to say I think the schizophrenic sister vamp was by far the best and most interesting character. The story isn't bad and with a bit more work I think could be very good and picked up by a publishing company.

I was very suprised at how good this book was! I can't believe this was free and I would have paid money for this! I didn't want this to end and I hope that the author will continue this story with a second book - it could definetly turn into a series!

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I found Christopher Buecheler's The Blood that Bonds to be a good, quick read, one that delves into a sorid world of vampires, yet leaves the reader with a message of hope. I like his take on vampires, that they're more complex than just blood drinkers, that they change and evolve, that they have a society that while exclusive, is still dynamic. The world, and the gritty nature of this reality, is center stage in TBtB, and Buecheler renders the setting in great detail, probably the strongest part of the novel.
Weakest is the plot; the denouncement drags on and on, the classic mistake of trying to clean up too many loose ends after the somewhat abbreviated climax of the story. The prose, while useful in some places to add to the realism level, could use a good solid polish, also.
Overall, I'd recommend this ebook to someone who wants a quick vampire read, one that entertains, but doesn't linger in the mind.

I generally don't read this type/style of books, but since it was free, and I was between books, and it had a good amount of positive feedback, I thought I'd give it a try. It was a quick read and I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the next one from this author. I wanted to make sure that I gave it a good review to help entice others like myself to give it a try.

I just became a Nook owner in the last month and have read a good chunk of the free ebooks. So far this has been my favorite. I was thrilled to read there will be a sequel. I loved the characters, the story line, and most importantly it captured my attention right away. I love this genre and this is a great addition to my collection.

It was a free ebook, so I couldn't pass it up. I couldn't put it down! Not my all time favorite, but I'm planning to read the sequel. There were a few too many typos, though.

This was a great read. I had a hard time putting it down and could not wait to get back to it. The characters and plot were well thought out. Bravo to Christopher Buecheler for a great story!!

I downloaded this to my new Nook and had it for about 3 months before I finally read it. I wish I'd read it sooner. Aside from a few grammatical errors, it was a pretty good book. The author took a different approach to the vampire story and it make for an interesting plot. I loved Two and Theroen. Although the book didn't have a "happy" ending, it was still great. I'm looking forward to the sequel and hope it's completed very soon.
I'm actually surprised this wasn't picked up by a publisher. If the plot were a bit more fleshed out and the grammarical errors fixed, it would be a book I'd pay for.

The characters are unbelievalbe. The stuff only books can be made of. The plot was good, it was well written, and the ending was thought provoking. It was good for excapism. Too bad it isn't real.

I see why the book was free, It sucked, I can tell a man wrote it. He does not know anything about paranormal romance.

I liked that the premise was unique and it was far from your typical vampire novel. It was suspenseful and emotional and went in directions that I hadn't anticipated. I felt like the writing style was easy to read and evoked strong feelings in me for the characters. I'm excited to have stumbled upon this gem of a story and can't wait to see where the sequel leads!
