    An intellectual mystery lover's delight!

For someone who has read tens of thousands of mysteries, reading The Blue Chip Murders was a delight. Written in a fresh style, it is a sumptuous tale of what could happen to greedy CEO's who dare to not maximize enterprise value. The story discusses the fundamentals of economics and corporate finance as effectively as it weaves a tale of mystery. The nuances of campus life, FBI profiling and corporate malfeasance are great additions to the background in which the action unfolds. From the first, dark episode of a prison breakthrough to the end when the mystery gets solved, there are plenty of red herrings to bait the astute mystery buff. Enjoy this one, and hope that the author comes up with something as good or better the next time around.
