About the Author

Growing up near the Hudson River in Yonkers, New York, sparked Richard V.
Elliott's
lifelong passion for steamboats. Shortly before he died in 2014, he finished writing the stories of more than 60 day passenger steamboats that plied New York waters in the 19th and 20th centuries.
