Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
This is a shameless imitation of Ben Schott's miscellanies, as well as the almanacs that have followed—and it shares all their insidious charm: the snappy writing, the twee little illustrations, tricksy columns and charts (here, even a few word pyramids), the advice and data that somehow marry triviality with indispensability. Alexander (no, not the actor—this one is the author of The Holistic Therapy File) includes, among many other delightful nothings, cargo cults, Tarot, famously bad feng shui, and the labors of Heracles. VERDICT Nice for the curious intellectual or spiritual seeker, as a cost-effective ready reference, and as a gift book.
