Every once in awhile, a score comes along that just gets me out of the movie chair and onto B&N.com. "Book of Eli' is one such. The Vangelis 'Blade Runner' comes to mind when what to compare it to. Nothing can touch that of course, but 'Book of Eli' brings out the emotions in similar fashion. Having been pleasantly surprised by the movie itself (GO SEE IT) the music compliments the film. The fist time I heard the heavy strings on 'Panoramic', I simply got chills. Atticus Ross is very new to me, but I will follow future scores with anticipation. A unique sound like Bear McCreary. Track 14 is more of such a great thing. Wish it was longer but then I wish most of my score collection was longer.
The picture on the front captures the feel of the movie quite well.
