Overview

The Book of Maleki is the story of 3 years of my life in the 80's playing bass for a low budget touring heavy metal band.

In all the years since that I have worked in the music business, I have never heard anybody tell any stories of life on the road that is anywhere near as insane as this was.

We had no record company, no management, no credit cards, no cell phones, no fax machines, no e-mail, and certainly no adult supervision.

Never again will wild rock bands roam the country off the grid and under the radar.

In comparison to the national acts that travel in jets, tour bus, and nice hotels; we were the covered wagons of heavy metal.

If you're easily offended by sexual situations, alcohol and drug abuse, or random acts of vandalism and mayhem, then don't read this book!

I heard about this book on Facebook, and took a chance in buying it. I was not disappointed! This is the craziest, funniest book I have ever read! It tells the story of a guy touring with a heavy metal band in the 80s and all the debauchery they got up to. These stories will blow your mind! They are full of sex, drinking and drugs. If you liked "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" or "The Dirt" or really any crazy party books, than "Book of Maleki" is right up your alley! This is not for the faint of heart though, these are downright dirty, insane stories for adults only. They are not politically correct. They are not sanitized to make everyone look like cool rich rock stars. They are down and dirty, off the wall stories of seriously bad, dangerous, hilarious behavior, where the band often barely make it out alive. Just in case you forgot it was the 80s, there are plenty of photos of all the band members decked out in their finest heavy metal glory. I read this book in one sitting, once you start it's impossible to stop, you just have to see what these nut-jobs will get up to next. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of metal, debauchery, touring, strippers, booze, or insanity. -C
