As with my first book, it was never my intention to author a book, but as with the first book, things just fell into place. For my second and last book in this series, "The Book of Quotes: Words to Incite, Inspire, and Awaken", my wife Sherian, is the co-author. This book is a compilation of fifty-two words, each word represents one of the 52 weeks in a year, with a word that denotes the topic of that week. As with the first book, it is a collection of quotes to inspire, encourage and awaken something in you. Our "Profiles in Courage" series centers around seven, unique individuals, who have made a difference and continues to inspire service for others.

About the Author

Daryl Smith is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and has retired from civil service. He has worked as an Equipment Specialist, a Management Specialist, a Management Analyst, and a Drafter. Writing has become a way for Daryl to express his thoughts through words and those words go on paper. His wife, Sherian, has retired from the public school system. They were married in 1981 and live in Oklahoma. They have two children and two grandchildren.
