I am sorry not to be able to review the book, as I purchased it as a gift for someone for Christmas.

I bought this book as a Confirmation gift for a Catholic niece who loves art. The artwork is beautiful and the quality of the book is very nice. Unfortunately, I will be returning the book because of the commentary on a number of the "saints". For example, the description of Mother Teresa is highly critical of her motives and methods and misinterprets her dark night of the soul. Likewise, some of the English saints receive rather harsh treatment. The author elevates a number of secular favorites, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. to saint status. If you are looking for a reverent treatment of the saints, this is not it.
