Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Lisa Colozza Cocca
This brightly illustrated book answers fifty questions about the human body that children may wonder about. Each topic is covered on one page, usually within a paragraph, and with a call-out that includes an interesting fact related to the topic. Questions are about body functions, such as why we sneeze and yawn or how our nails grow, and information about body parts, such as which is the biggest bone and what is a freckle. Some topics are sure to elicit oohs and ahs from readers while others will bring on the giggles. The book includes a table of contents, an index, a glossary, and a fun quiz. The book is chockfull of valuable information presented in an easy to understand way, with fun illustrations and eyebrow-raising facts—the kind of book even the most reluctant reader will want to pick up. I predict young readers will wear this book out long before they lose interest in it. Reviewer: Lisa Colozza Cocca
