Meet the Author

I, Terry Callister, started the website Books and Novels to Read.com in April 2011 to showcase the work of self-published and Indie authors. I felt they and I did not get a fair crack from the traditional publishing industry. I very quickly discovered, as more and more writers sent me their books, what an extremely talented group of people there are in the world trying to make a living from writing. Many of the self-published books I’ve read and reviewed deserve the recognition that would be available through the publishing industry, but with the conservative nature of the industry and the present austere time it is not to be, hence the website.

I wondered how to increase the exposure of these talented people and hit upon the idea of this book of short stories. By showing the writing skill of some authors in short sharp doses it will give the book reading public a chance to sample the wonderful imagination and fresh ideas these writers conjure up.

One more thing, the authors of these short stories hail from the USA, the UK and even a gentleman from Venezuela, so if in some cases the spelling looks a little odd it is simply because written English can be different either side of the Atlantic. I´ve left the writing in the authors’ natural language. The contributing authors are; Joe Perrone Jr., Rob Rideout, Wayne Zurl, Edwin Stark, Niamh Clune, Terry Callister, Mary C. Findley, Peter James Brown, Sandra Callister, Mary C. Findley, and Traci Tennison.

I hope you enjoy these stories and then go onto read the authors’ full books and novels. You will be very pleasantly surprised.
