This story was all i could read for a week, it is amazing, and the last paragraph is a killer, (i was almost crying) that is until you see the title is in the last sentence, and you're like "roll credits". Though the story begins in Germany, most of it takes place in Holland, where the main character Janna is sent to live with her parents, 2 famous actors. She is Nazi youth and believes her parents are perfect, but when she finally sees these things face to face she begins to realize that: A. Jews are people too, B. the Nazi soldiers are cruel, and C. her parents have a scarred human nature just like the rest of us.

I enjoyed this book very much, because it gave a different sort of view on WWII. The story is about a very german, pro-Hilter girl who realizes that Nazism isn't everything she thought it was, or was told. I truely liked the characters of Janna and Sef. Hilda van Stockum put this novel together exceptionally. Her style of writing is splendid. I probably would recommend this book to older children because of some thematic material.

This is an incredible book that both children and adults will find very entertaining and even fairly historically accurate. You will find yourself so caught up in the story of Janna, her family and her unexpectedly new-found friends, you will not want to put it down!

This is the best historical fiction book ever! You must read it! The story comes alive. You become the characters, you are the danger, you are one that can change everything. You must read it to believe it.
