    Very interesting

    All of these books take place in an alternate Earth with both the setting and characters being believable. The books seem to have a depth to them that would allow further stories in this setting. The plot is fast paced and shifts between several characters to keep the action almost non-stop. However, this non-stop action is the one quibble I have with the entire series in that there is so much going on that it feels like an old pulp serial called the Perils of Pauline, somebody is always knee deep in kimchee and I found that aspect a little wearying. Regardless of this one minor element, I do recommend this series for a fun and quick read.
