Editorial Reviews
All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Award-winning composer John Powell passed the baton to award-winning composer James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, Water for Elephants, The Sixth Sense) for the fourth installment (and first to feature new lead Jeremy Renner and director Tony Gilroy) in the Robert Ludlum-created Bourne series. The resulting score for The Bourne Legacy is as relentlessly taut as it is atmospheric, expertly doling out layer after layer of chilly electronics, thundering kettle drums, and dissonant strings, before careening feet-first into the familiar opening strains of Moby's "Extreme Ways," which appears here in a slightly updated form.
