Meet the Author

Jon has lived in the Midwest USA for what feels like eons. Aside from brief sorties to New York, Winnipeg, and Baja California, and a longer sojourn in France (mainly Paris), the Midwest is where he's stayed, got his own degree in French (like Ben, in "Bumps," he found it no help in getting a job), and spent his working career: basically in civil service, including fascinating and sometimes even exciting work during seven years with a large metropolitan police department, as a civilian employee. (That's where he found his respect and admiration for police officers, which is occasionally reflected in his writing.)

Interests besides writing include classical music, reading, computers, and good movies. A bicycle commuter for several years, Jon racked up over 14,000 miles in (mostly) rush-hour traffic before an inner-ear disorder sabotaged the sense of balance, and hence cycling.

For several decades he was an ardent journal writer, before unexpectedly turning to fiction as a result of taking part in NaNoWriMo in 2010 (total failure) and 2011 (winner).

(Yawn...) Time for a nap, I think.

    A decent free download

The book started off alright, then it got too verbal and the characters turned annoying. The author couldn't "show" scenes, so he added dialogue to make up for it. I think the characters had no personality. It turned into whining and consuling, and confirming...really a boring read. I ended up skipping over the filler trying to find substance, unsucessfully.

What an incredible tale of passion, head games, and romance.  A fantasy for some and a disgusting, perverted, non-plausible situation for others.

I didn't really care for this one. It was ok, but there was no point to it. Nobody lives like this, nobody acts like this, it's entirely unrealistic. A beautiful, barely-legal teenage dude seduces a guy in his 50s by playing load music and walking around naked, then becoming hysterical and falling into fits of crying, craziness, and sociapathy.

    Quite A Pleasant Little Romance

It's nothing like bonding with the neighbor who's playing his music a little too loudly. Well, lot more than bonding... suffice it to say I liked the story a lot.

    Simple and adorable

A very short, straightforward story: two guys live in the same apartment building and meet under the most mundane of circumstances. There's little plot, with everything moving toward the conclusion that one hopes for -- and even a little more. Enjoy it for what it is: a short, lighthearted look at meeting the man of one's (wet) dreams.
