I am so excited about this!!! As soon as I am home this weekend, I will be doing my download. I use this book to teach so many things at school (in every grade...) and at home with my kids just for fun. I can't wait to be able to pull it up on my SMARTboard and on my phone so my kids can enjoy it when we are on the road!!

    Cute book with lasting lesson

This book is in our school media center, and a favorite in my classroom. When I found out that an electronic version was available, I had to get a copy for my own children, ages 6 and 8. They love the illustrations, I love the message, and I appreciate how I have the copy available for them to read on our computer, my iphone, and their touches through the B&N app. Can't beat the price for a great kids book.

Best Deal on Nook for 99 cents!

Great e-book for 99 cents! Check it out and give it a good review. I am a school teacher who uses children's books in the classroom everyday. The children love the colorful illustrations and the lesson learned. This is great for story elements lessons with compare and contrast. I can't wait for his next book to come out in April!
It's so awesome that he is on the Nookbooks Top Lend Me list. Be sure to lend it to your friends and family. Your kids will love the illustrations!

    YOU MUST READ THIS!

I am an elementary school teacher and my students absolutely adore this story! After reading, we all talk about the importance of being honest and telling the truth to stem thoughtful writing. I also use this in a unit about comparing and contrasting story elements and the students love it! They always try to draw "Ug" afterwards to illustrate their stories and comparisons. You should definitely check out this book. It's a great one!

    Disappointed

Pages and print won't enlarge so is so small you can't make out some words. My granddaughter quit trying to read it and told me to delete it because it hurt her eyes to try to read it. :o(

Great for the NookColor in the Classroom! Only 99 cents!

We use The Boy Who Cried Ug! with the NookColor in the classroom and media center. I read the story to the students. They loved the story, especially the illustrations. The students then read the book the next day. They won't put it down. It's addictive! There are many skills I can pull in with this book: story elements, compare and contrast, writing, sight words, read aloud, dinosaurs, fossils, etc. Great for beginning readers!

Great Buy for Just 99 cents! Great Bedtime Read!

The book was something I just purchased for a quick bedtime read for my son and daughter. They loved the illustrations the most, but the story was good too. I am definitely getting my monies worth, we are going on our third night of reading and I am amazed how my kids are picking up the words in the text.

    Good Book for 99 cents!

I am new to the NookColor and this is the first e-book I downloaded. Hey, it's only 99 cents! E-books at yardsale prices... My kids really enjoy the story and the wonderful illustrations. It would have been nice to get some more e-books, but they kept rereading it. That says it all.

    An E-Book for 99 cents?!

Based on a "first timer" review, I tried this e-book out with my new NookColor. It's not interactive, but it's simple and grabbed my kid's attention, who by the way, hates reading. After reading it with me, he wanted to read it again on his own! The illustrations were wonderful. The story line was good with a twist ending. A good 99 cents well spent and worth it.

    Don't bother

Not a good example of literature to read or share with a child. Surprised it was even published. Pass on this one.

    Don't Bother

The text is very small and difficult to read. My grandson wanted to read alone with me but even he had a hard time seeing the words.

Don't purchase unless you have great eyesight! Very small print.

I purchased this book for my son to read on the NC. He is unable to read the tiny print with his 20/20 vision, so there is no hope for my four-eyed self! It is too bad because it seemed like it would be good story judging by the rating.
