    Very enjoyable read

Loved Jayce and Reese's story. What I didn't like was that this story is only 217 pages out of the 547. The rest of the 330 pages were all excerpts of many books. I don't mind maybe 1 or 2 previews but 330 pages was a huge amount. Heck, it was longer than the book!

    Liked this book

This was a free book and I did like the book. It had a really good story line. When I sarted reading I was suprised seeing that it was over 500 pages but after reading and seeing the story was ending and there were over 100 pages left I was a little disappointed. There were alot of previews of other books which I didn't want to get into reading.

    only half of a book

It was choppy, and was rushed, and had an abrupt ending. I'm sure the writer had a good plan/outline but missed the potential the story could of had,, needed way more chapters, and then to find out the last 300 pages are samples of other books,, I felt robbed, glad I didn't pay for it.

Abropt ending with several large subplots just left hanging

Really annoying with over 100 pages being intros to other books of hers and a gallery of cover art. Story had a good build up but ended in a ridiculous fashion

    Very good!

If you are a fan of the Medieval time period and love romance novels, this is for you. It has a good blend of mystery and romance. I only wish it had been longer! Definitely check out Laurel O'Donnell full length novels

The Bride and the Brute - Laurel O'Donnell

This was a good read. The story itself is a short story, but is really good. It is another that will stay in my library.
Mistrust that leads to anger leads to discovery to at last love. The end of the story has a unique twist that could lead to another story.

The excerpts at the end of the book have got me hooked into finding them.

    Good story

This was a good story for all the other readers who
complained about the extra pages maybe just dont read them and get over it . ..... wouldnt that be easier? Did u ever realize that it may not be up to the author but instead to the publishing company. Instead grade the author's complete work.

    Quick and Enjoyable

The year is 1392, England. Lord Reese Harrington is blackmailed into marrying Jayce Cullen. Jayce’s father has tried several times to get Reese to marry his daughter, but after several rebuffs he kidnaps Reese’s sister and the ransom is marriage to Jayce. Reese is beyond furious that he is forced into a marriage he doesn’t want and Jayce doesn’t understand why he married her if he didn’t want to get married. Can a marriage survive this bad of a start? Or will it break them both?

I stumbled across this free enovella on Goodreads and was immediately drawn into it. I read it all the way through before I had realized it. The story flowed quickly and I liked the characters.

I’m not sure how long it took me to read because I didn’t note the time, but it’s a short read and an enjoyable way to pass the time.

I liked this book but was disappointed with it being only 217 pages out of 547 listed. The rest was excerpts of other books the author has written. In fact they were more pages of them that the actual story. In spite of this it was a great love story and well worth the read.
