I scowered the shelves of the local BN looking for a wedding planner. Most book were too big and bulky or just un-useful. But this book is perfect, it's the right size, covers all areas of the wedding ceremony and reception. I've used it once so far with a catering hall interview, the event coordinator commented on the questions it had me asking and said they were very good questions.

Selecting a wedding planning guide can be very overwhelming, and after much perusing, I was thrilled stumble upon this book. Several friends lent me their guides as well, but this book was by far the best. Author Amy Nebens lists questions you would never think to ask¿but you¿ll be glad you did. There¿s also a nice holder for business cards and a comprehensive timeline that lets you check off tasks as you complete them. The elastic band that fits around the book is a nice touch as well. The book fits perfectly in a handbag, so you can easily take it along when going to meet with/interview various vendors. Nebens also includes charts you can use to compare reception sites and keep track of your budget. Whether you¿re planning an elaborate weekend wedding or small, intimate affair, you will find this book useful. I highly recommend it.

Being a list person, I couldn't resist this book when I started planning our wedding. It offers questions to pose to vendors that I never would have thought of on my own, and it is thorough in most areas. However, there were some areas where I felt the lists were lacking, such as the Wedding Day Emergency Kits. All things considered, though, it's worth the money to save yourself from forgetting something important on one of the biggest days of your life!
