Though there seems to be an ever-expanding number of British Invasion compilations, The British Are Coming, Vol. 1 manages to be one of the most fun and eclectic collections of the style. While the album features two of the Kinks' biggest hits, "You Really Got Me" and "A Well Respected Man," as well as Donovan's "Catch the Wind" and "Colours," most of the album is devoted to lesser-known singles and artists, such as the Sorrows' "Take a Heart," Marmalade's "Reflections of My Life," and the Rockin' Berries' "He's in Town."
