Editorial Reviews

I must say that for a debut novel, The Broken is an excellent effort. The book is very well written, the characters well-developed and charming, and the plot is strong. The Broken is one you will want to keep on your shelf to read over and over again.

Joseph’s characters are three-dimensional and well-developed. I liked the fact that Rosa seemed to be the one flawed member of an otherwise awesome Guardian family. But unlike most of us, who would be complaining that we didn’t get the same Gifts as the rest of the family, Rosa is okay with this. She doesn’t really want to fight world-changing battles with dark forces. She just wants to live in peace.

    Pretty good

Love the subject matter and plot line but characters seem quite one dimensional and story gets repetitive quickly...if writing were tightened up this could be a great book

    Meh

THIS WAS AN AMAZING BOOK! I cannot tell you how awsome it was. The only complaint i have is that the author said the next book was coming out august 2013! AUGUST 2013!!!!!!!! This author seriously does not need 15 months to work on on a possibly 400 page book. Much too lazy.

I loved this book! It had just the right amount of pages to not make it too long (400 or so). I can't wait for the sequel!
