Loved this series. A rich and colorful world, with great characters, that kept me reading all four. I also loved the theme that the series was based on.

I have loved everything I have read from T C Southwell. The Demon Lord series, The Queens Blade series and now this. I can't wait to start the next series. Her books really make you feel like you are there and you expierence the emotional trauma the characters feel. And you can't help but grin from ear to ear and get excited when there is happiness for the characters. You feel like you have known them your whole life. MUST READS!!!!

I cannot purchase book, but would like desperately to know what happened? why did talsy trick him into getting her pregnant?(personally I find her annoying and selfish) trying to force him to stay? and what happened with chanter at the end?(love him!)

This book was frustrating. After book 2 I kept hoping Talsy would mature and become a little less selfish, but instead she became more selfish and conniving. I know it served a purpose to the end of this story, but I was irritated to the point that I put the book aside a few times and had to force myself to finish it. Her unselfish declaration that she wanted Chanter to always be free was never justified because she always made sure he was at her beck and call and the end of this book proved how selfish she was and undeserving of being the "First Chosen". If the Ms Southwell brings Chanter back to continue his story, I hope she gives him a better female counterpart.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I reserved my review for the last book in the series because each book was better and better. I became so emotionally attached to the characters I felt if I couldn't continue, they would be stuck in limbo. You have to love Chanter and Kieran for putting up with Talsey. Then again you can't blame Talsey for loving so hard,,,until the end. I hated the end and I cryed and was so angry! I would recommend this whole series especially to those readers who become so connected to the character they can feel the torture, anguish and joy that was so brilliantly written. This is the first T. C. Southwell series I have read and I look forward to continuing with more.

This series was great! Superb detail, engrossing characters, plots, sub plots and tie in. Only complaint i have in this series was the ending. Im sure she bantied different endings and also left the cliffhanger, but the characters were so realistic my heart hurt for Chanter....i mean stuck in Dolana? Poor thing

This series is a fun read, but not something I will re-read. I wish the author had gone a little deeper into the ways in which obsessive love negatively affected the main characters but, although she did mention it briefly, it wasn't enough to explain how a brave, independent girl would turn into a manipulative person who would do such damaging things (especially the acts in the epilogue) .
