Overview

The Brontë Sisters features three classics of literature collected in a single volume. Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë, is the tale of governess Jane Eyre and her passionate romance with Lord Rochester, her employer, whose dark and secret past comes back to haunt them. Wuthering Heights, by Emily Brontë, tells of the gypsy boy Heathcliff, and his obsessive love for Catherine Earnshaw, the young woman whose station is above his, but whose family he ultimately comes to master. Agnes Grey, by Anne Brontë, is the tale of its eponymous heroine, a governess in a wealthy household who yearns to find a man who will love and respect her for herself. These three novels, all first published in 1847, are universally acclaimed the greatest artistic achievements of one of the most talented families in all English letters.

The Brontë Sisters is one of Barnes & Noble's Collectible Editions classics. Beautiful addition to my library of the leatherbound classics, absolutely love it!

Beautiful book. The flower-motif and the overall look makes it a good companion piece to the Austen omnibus.

This is a beautiful book, it has shimmery gold edged pages and a pink satin bookmark. My only wish is that the pages were a bit thicker, but I love it very much. :-)

I will not go into the plot of this superb treasury of the finest pieces in the English literature history; however, I will remark the quality of this book: it itself is sublime in all angles, and would offer a lavish sense to any library to those who collect Barnes and Noble's collectible editions. And the introduction within it, is accurate and well stated. I do not remorse purchasing this edition--though my only regret is not buying it earlier.

...because ordering online from B&N was a terrible mistake. Ordered on 12/17 for guaranteed Christmas delivery, reached out to customer service something in the neighborhood of eight times, and did not receive the book until yesterday. Bought the same book at a local bookstore, and the book itself was a great purchase.
