Editorial Reviews

VOYA - Susan Allen
The Building of the Great Pyramid tells of the twenty years of its construction by thousands of workers who dragged the stones into place and hand carved them to flawlessly fit. Built almost five thousand years ago for Pharaoh Khufu, this awesome building continues to inspire. What is different about this telling of the pyramid's building is that books in this series have full-color illustrations in a graphic novel format. This title is part of a series that includes the Battle of Gettysburg, Julius Caesar, and Anne Frank. All volumes contain full color illustrations, fact boxes, time lines, glossaries, and indexes. The series covers important people and events throughout world history in a totally factual manner but in an unusual format. The bright, action-packed pages will help bring history to life for the most reluctant students. Select titles or the entire series would be great for the casual or reluctant reader and for the student with a learning difference.
