Overview

Reid Davis lives a quiet life in a small, rural town on a simple street. He visits his doctor once a week for therapy after an accident left his body nearly dead but his thoughts, though jagged, very much alive. And in his mind, he shares a life with people that don’t exist outside of it. He has no recollection of the accident and in fact, has little memory of anything that happened before it. With his world in a gaining spin, he tries to piece his jigsaw life together with nightly occurring dreams he believes hold clues.

The haunting dreams reveal a fractured, hodge-podge of images and moments in his life of terrifying and unsettling events, the beautiful face of a statuesque and mysterious woman, and an ambiguous existence as a prominent philanthropic innovator whose invention that may change the world, has inadvertently changed his life.

I really enjoyed this new novel from Giselle Steele. An excellent page-turner, in my opinion. Great for book clubs - could spark interesting discussions about science and memory manipulation.

I saw the book trailer at Giselle Steele's official website and loved it! I'm a fan of her previous work and am so excited to read this.

This is an excellent read! I enjoyed all the elements of the plot and story but I'd have to say that out of everything in this book, the characters are most likely my favorite aspect. Complex yet relatable, the main characters caught my interest from the very first page and kept me until the very last. The thing I loved most about these characters was that they were real and I could picture each one very easily. I came away from the book feeling like I met and really got to know each one of them. Another part of The Burning of Grey I found enjoyable was the plot and the execution. Full of twists and turns to keep nearly any reader enthralled. I truly never lost interest, not even once. I was constantly rooting for the main character, sitting on the edge of my seat, eating up every word, curious to see what road block would pop up next!

I don't like to read reviews that give away the plot, so I'm not going to comment on that except to say that this story blew me away!! I found the whole book really engaging and well written. Honestly, did not want the novel to end!
