The Callie King Cockman Family Cookbook is an excellent addition to anyone's cooking collection. It contains over three hundred and fifty well-indexed recipes, many of which are concluded with reminiscent comments by the various contributors. The forward to the cookbook is a fascinating life history of Callie King Cockman, the 88-year-old wife of a Methodist minister and mother of seven. You will be moved by her plainspoken story of the joys and hardships of growing up in rural North Carolina in the early nineteen hundreds. Included are the recollections of each of her seven children. Some of the greatest joys of a child and the sweetest memories of an adult are the times spent around the family table, filled with mother¿s good home cooking and surrounded by loving family. The Callie King Cockman Family Cookbook is a fitting tribute to a nurturing matriarch, and will be a blessing in your kitchen.
