When I started growing and changing, I told my mom, and she went to get this same book to see if I was just growing or it was something else.I've used this book a lot during my growing stage.I had my growing stage when I was 9 and in 4th grade, so you should go buy this book when your kid is like 5 because it might happin at anytime.I gave this book 5 stars because it helped me out a lot when I was going thow this stage.I hope you come in buy this book if you have a girl.

An amazing book for girls who have lots of questions.

My daughter has a lot of questions about what is normal, what is going to happen as she grows up, and sometimes those questions occur to her when she is not in the mood to ask me directly. She has used this book a lot to learn about her body and about how to care for herself. I highly recommend this book for any girl who is either in puberty or approaching puberty. Absolutely amazing book. With the other mother's permission, my daughter saved up enough money to give this book as a gift for a friend of hers. The authors took basic information about development and made it accessible to both mothers and daughters without being embarrassing or condescending to anyone. It is also appropriate for single fathers who are looking for ways to help their young daughters understand the changes they will face.

    Very Well Written

I purchased this book for my 9 year old daughter, after reading it first. I was leary about purchasing it initially, due to some of the reviews given by other parents. I'm not sure that those parents are clear on the definition of 'Porn'. There is nothing in this book about sex. This book was NOT obscene, or inappropriate. It is a clear, well-written account of the changes that happen to a young lady going through puberty. It discusses, in great detail, learning to care for your personal hygiene - through regular bathing, hair care, tooth and eye care, healthy eating, and healthy body image. It discusses the changes in body appearance and growth of hair in unexpected places. It opens the door to communication on a somewhat confusing subject in a confusing time period in a young girl's life, therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

    A Great Book For Pre-Teens

There was a girl at school with this book and she told me how great it was to help. I ask my mom and dad to get it for me, since the report cards were coming soon they said if I had good grades I could get it as a reward. The next 2 days I waited and finally got it in my hands. It was so good I read it all in 2 days. It helped my understand more about my health and hygeine. If I need help with things like that I could just get it out and I would know what to do. I would highly recommend it.

    Very Informative!!!

This is a book that help explain why hygiene is so important. In a child's eyes, we parents are just blabbing. This book explains what we're trying to say from a child's point of view. I read the book before I bought it to be sure of the contents and I was very pleased. I would recommend this book for pre-teens and teen girls.

A must have for any young girl!

This book was recommended to me. My daughter is 9 and asked me one day what PMS meant. This book covers that subject and much more. It it a total care book. It is written at a level that she can understand and is very truthful at the same time. We've read some of the sections together and she has read more on her own. She's much more comfortable about asking questions and I'm much more comfortable answering them using the book as a guide.

An awesome way to learn for young girls.

When I was growing up, there was not as many details or infromation (even in books) about my growing body, and since girls today seem to be going into puberty earlier (than ourselves back then), this is the best way to teach them about their bodies and the changes that they will experiance. It's so educational, I bought one for myself just to keep as a souvenir. Really!

    Helped me out!

when i was little and I was starting to come of age my mom got me this book. I'm very glad she did, we talked about everything in it and went through the whole thing. NOT FOR BOYS TO LOOK IN!! Ladies only! They explain a lot of the changes that a young woman has to physically go through and it opens the mind of your daughter that is coming of age who should see what she is going to go through. It guided me (with my mother of course) through the whole process and i think it made life just a little bit easier.

    Excellent book for young girls!

My oldest Granddaughter was the first one to read this book. I noticed that she had seemingly matured overnight. I asked my daughter-in-law about it and she said it was this book. It had helped her in her transition from a little girl to a young lady. She bought a copy for my next granddaughter and my next granddaughter bought one to give to her cousin. We have decided that this book is a must read for each girl in the family before her body changes and matures. It is in simple language that is easily understood and presented in a way that helps them accept the facts without freaking out. I highly recommend it!

    The best book ever!!!!

I havent read this book yet but i have looked through it when i was at my friends house. I am 10 years old and is still learning of the up-coming events that will soon be happening. I reccomend this book to every pre-teen girl like me. I reccomend the ages to 9-15. Kids under 7 wouldnt understand as well as pre teens could. 8 year olds could look at the beggining. They dont need to no about the other stuff. Unless they go there period earkier or is developing faster. That is understandable. If you are imbarresed to ask your mom or scared look through this with you mom. NOT FOR BOYS!!!! oNLY FOR GIRLS AND THEIR MOMS!!!!!
