I would recommend this book to anyone who is just starting to read or watch "Case Closed" or "Detective Conan." There are a lot of characters, and it helps to have a guide to sort everyone out. However, the book was written several years ago, so many newer characters and story arcs are not included. It also appears that the publishers used images from the first year of the anime. Because this was translated from Japanese, the author uses the original character names rather than the English ones. For example, Jimmy Kudo is called Shinichi Kudo instead. This may be confusing for newer fans. Overall, it's a good Case Closed 101 intro, but it needs expansion and updates.

Great if you are a fan of the manga (which is past 800 chapters) and the anime.
