Meet the Author

Fred A.Stutman, M.D. established one of the first walking programs for cardiac rehabilitation patients, while he was a medical officer in the U.S. Air force. Following the publication of his first book, The Doctor's Walking Book,he became known as "Dr.Walk." Dr. Stutman is the author of 12 books and numerous medical articles on diet, nutrition, and exercise. His books have been featured in national and international magazines,journals and newspapers. He has appeared on radio and TV, including The Today Show and Good Morning America. Dr. Stutman is currently practicing Family Medicine in Philadelphia as part of the Temple University Health System. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family practice and a recipient of the American Medical Associaton's Physician's Reconition Award. He is also a member of the International Health Awareness Network, a United Nations NGO, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
