Murphy and Stempinski, mother and daughter, are also the authors of The Cat Who Cookbook. Here they offer recipes from reunions attributed to favorite families in Lillian Jackson Braun's best-selling series, from a "Fourth of July Picnic" with the Inchpots to "The Annual Goodwinter Gathering," as well as a "Cat Reunion" for all the felines featured in the books. Recipes, which are mostly of the old-fashioned community-cookbook style (lots of gelatin salads), are interspersed with appropriate quotations from different Cat Who books. Fans of the series will find this second cookbook entertaining indeed; for most collections. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

When asked if the K-Fund will be willing to publish a cook book based on meals served at family reunions, Quilleran tells Mildred Riker, Food Editor of the Moose County Something that he will be he the foot taster and will publish the book. The most beloved families in Moose County submit invitations and recipes to the cause. The recipes are easy to follow and taste delicious ranging from beverages & bread to salads and side orders. Meat dishes are popular at every family reunion and the desserts are so delicious readers will want to try the recipe of each one. Readers will find this cookbook one of the better ones based on a fictional series on the market.------------------- Harriet Klausner
