Overview

"The CEO" is a fast paced corporate thriller of loves come and gone, innovation, resilience, corporate philanthropy, vision, and deception. Corporate business leaders are protected by their own small armies of private security whose power will surprise. The story takes the reader behind the scenes and into the back office meetings of both corporations and countries; travelling from Denver to New York to London to Bogota and to Paris.

As Mitch and his team of loyalists' race against time they are faced with constant revelation of threats against the company and those involved; including the life of the woman that Mitch falls deeply in love with. The depth of the plot reveals a 200 year old secret between two of the world's most powerful countries. If the secret is revealed it could destroy the balance of power in the world. Though, if the secret stays protected it could crush all that Mitch Jacobs desires.

Although Mitch Jacobs never questions his ability to conquer the current forces against him, it is a race to answer the questions:

Will Mitch be able to discover who is leading the attack on him before it is too late?

Is this conspiracy the result of the usual corporate competition or does it emanate from the power hungry executives in his company?

What interest do certain world leaders have in this plot that will destroy all that Mitch has built?

Most important Mitch has fallen in love with two women whose essence and similarities (and differences) of character lead him on his mission

    Fast and furious!

Grab your passport, author Steve Bederman is about to take you on a first class trip with The CEO! Mitch Jacobs is a self-made man, CEO of one of the most innovative corporations in the world and even owns the heart of the leader of one foreign country. He keeps his own security team, is a hands-on kind of leader, well-liked, brilliant, generous with his time and money, and a target in a plot to take over his company by a group willing to do anything- including commit murder, in a fast-paced game of corporate espionage. As Mitch tries to stay one step ahead of the game, he leaves his company in the capable hands of his most trusted and loyal board members, while enlisting the aid of his best friend, a hired gun for corporations and countries, alike. Every time he thinks he knows who is out to get him, he uncovers another link in the chain that leads him full circle to his own backyard. But are these villains alone? Is there another secret group, centuries old and operated by a country thought to be one of the United States’ greatest allies? For a man everybody “loves,” there sure are a lot of people out to end Mitch’s life! In the end, who can Mitch trust? For that matter, WHERE will this end?

Steve Bederman has penned a fast-paced, over-the-top web of deceit and intrigue that will have your head spinning. Each layer and aspect of this adventure goes deep, is involved and never failed to surprise! The occasional sub-plot or scene that felt a little too much over the top, actually added to the entertainment factor in the long run, this is fiction, anything can happen! The bad guys are bad, very bad, well-drawn with twisted personalities and a thirst for power that you can feel! Each backdrop for the action is carefully planned out and described, from the middle-class neighborhood with its manicured lawns to the sights and sounds of Paris, where romance blooms! If you like thrillers, filled with corporate espionage, power plays, intrigue and lots of money, you should try The CEO.
