Meet the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cheryl Dyson’s father’s occupation as an actual cowboy caused the family to move around a lot - in fact, she’s lived in so many Western towns that she cant remember them all. As a youngster, she competed in professional Appaloosa horse shows, winning numerous ribbons and trophies in varied events. Her favorite thing to do was ride a horse (in a dead gallop) to a nice, secluded spot where she could read in peace. When she eventually ran out of books, this habit led her to writing. Adulthood brought experience working in various accounting positions, all the while writing novels, short stories, and screenplays. Cheryl lives in Washington state where she spends her free time cooking, crafting, and—of course—reading and writing. Her status as Commander of the Universe, coupled with her prolific writing of Harry Potter fan fiction, has garnered her many groveling peons (and several marriage proposals) in the U.S., Russia, and China.

    I want book 3!!!!

This great fantasy adventure continues the story of Brydon Redwing and companions. It once again grabs you and never lets go!!
Great magic concept, and continued character and political development.
    Can't wait for book 3!

    Fantastic Series!

The Gauntlet Trilogy has truly captivated me. Especially since there is the involvement of the Ebon characters, which if you are a person of color who reads fantasy, you know how hard it is to come by a character who is described to look like you. I'm sad the story of the Ebons wasn't continued like I thought it would be.

I loved both of these books and am eagerly awaiting the 3rd.

    Grear series!

I was worried book two wouldn't be as good as the first but it was great. There are a few editing errors, but not bad enough to distract too much from the story. Love this series! Can't wait for the next!!!

My husband and I are completely in love with this series! I myself have read both books twice now, and am eagerly awaiting the third :) The adventure is so well written you feel as if you are actually there in person! Thank you for your beautiful words that allow such a wonderful escape.

    Good read

Like the magic concept which started in its basics in book one. In this second book the magic grows quickly in Bryndon and personalities are further developed and explained nicely as well...Nicely done, and I am looking forward to the last book to (hopefully) receive all the answers.

    OMG...I couldn't put this down

I fell in love with the story in the first book "The Gauntlet Thrown" and I had no idea that you could get any better.

The characters developed more ~~honor over love~~ duty~~support~~friendship~~swords~~fighting~~everything that you could imagine is there.

I cannot wait for the final book to come out! I discovered this book late last year but I don't want to wait three years for the finale (...the first book was released in 2009)...I want more.

    AWESOME BOOK...

I'm going to read it again and again.

Well writfen lookimg forward to the next book. After all this one left so many unanswered questions as well as for quests unfinished. Hopefully the next one is as long as the first one of over 1000 pages and clears allot of things up.l

    A Must Read Trilogy

These books had me from the very first page! The attention to detail and clash between Good & Evil. Not to mention the politics of kingdoms.
This is more than mearly a good read. It exceeds all expectations.
