Zanthius De Lombardo is loathed by men but admired by women because he is intelligent, handsome, tall, and has the body of a gladiator. Zanthius is a married lothario whose playground is the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a home-wrecking, self-absorbed, inconsiderate son-of-a-bitch with a monumental lust for the opposite sex.
As a chameleon, Zanthius, with his color-changing/shape-shifting abilities, is able to scheme, prevaricate, connive, cajole, and coax his secretaries, his associates, his friends, his in-laws, and everyone else that meets his discerning appetite into his world of deception and conquest.
Zanthius would say, "I like someone old, someone current, someone new, and preferably at the same time. After being terminated from his job and simultaneously being divorced, he is at his wit's end. Zanthius, with help from his constant friend, the bottle, contemplates suicide. Thank the spirits for a loving and caring mother who rescues him. the chameleon is an arousing story of human frailties and human nature.
