Meet the Author

Hello, I'm Angie. Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, lets you and I take a little stroll. There's a story I need to let out of its cage and I think it's one you need to hear. It's about the end of the world as we know it...Little pleases me more than to explore the dark fantasy and horror stories in my head. Knowing other people like them is second only to the magic of this new career I've chosen so feel free to drop me a line or post a review. As a die-hard Cincinnatian, I much prefer writing to the stresses of being a city Taxicab dispatcher. Thank you for making my dreams possible.

    UGH! Gripping!

Y'know, there was a book out a few years ago in which nearly all the women died. This is the opposite. It jumps off the Life After War series by about 500 years, and men are rare. I honestly cannot imagine women acting like this, but it could happen. Meanwhile, the story is very well told, moves fast, and is almost a can't-put-it-down book.

The storyline is interesting but the way the novel is written turned me off. I didn't even finish the book because I didn't feel any connection to the characters, and I didn't like the way the author switched the points of view between the two main characters back and forth. It's all right if it is done every chapter but to switch in between scenes is too confusing. And there is hardly any dialogue at all. The characters say maybe one or two words at a time, rarely a whole sentence. I gave up on it.

    Good idea, poorly executed.

I love the idea of this story but regret it was so hard to read. The writing was choppy and hard to follow. The first couple of chapters really sucked me in. I was looking forward to see where the story would take me. But the the further I read, the choppier the writing was. The writing switches to writing from the point of view of two different characters. Unfortunately, I found constant slips where she was supposed to be writing from Candice's POV but slipped into Daniels, and vice versa. For the last 200 pages I was just ready for the story to be over. I only read to end because of the time invested in what I had already read.

Angela White's books are such a good read, hate to put it down, and I've not been much of a reader. I'm enjoying this series and can't wait for the next book. Also recommend her Life After War series!

    Wasted my time

This book has a great story line, however it is very poorly written! It becomes hard to follow, because the author did not compose things in an understandable way. I gave up on trying to go back to figure out what I missed. I also feel like I completely wasted my time, it is very far drawn out, and ends in the middle of nothing! It didn't even make me want to read the next one!

Loved this story line! I gave it 4 out of 5 because  I am not not nuts about erotic romance novels (but the story line let me get past that part), the editing was poorly done and I wasn't nuts about how it jumped from character to character (made it hard to follow in spots) but all in all I didn't want to put it down and even with the "cons" I purchased the sequel and the hinted at "prequels" (Life after War books 1-3).

I'll be honest, I'm not purchasing this book. Why? Because the premise is so absurd. One man can service many women, way more than nine. There would be no reason for women to compete for a man. What would happen is that the women would form childrearing groups and the men would be used as studs only.

    It is okay

I made it about 100 pages and stopped. I think with some editing this could be an amazing book. It's hunger games esque with the idea.
