Meet the Author

Kyra Petrovskaya Wayne is an accomplished writer and a former stage actress and concert singer. The daughter of Russian prince she grew up in the Soviet Union under an assumed name. At the age of eight she won an admission to a school for musically gifted children and later, to the Institute of Theatre Arts.

Her ascending career was interrupted by World War II when she saw combat as a sniper. She is a decorated survivor of the siege of Leningrad and an award-winning author of thirteen books.

She came to America as a war bride and at present lives in the Pacific Northwest forest surrounded by her family, Old Master paintings and hundreds of books.
