I got this after seeing about the main character working in a nursing home, and I do too, so I bought it on that alone. I was so into this book, it really is a fascinating and interesting read. I loved the shocking ending.

No other way to put it...beautifully said and told. I really was enchanted by the whole plot and loved the MC Domenique. Strong character with demension and depth.

This was a very good book with a lot of sentimental and cerebral internal dialogue. Clean, interesting, and romantic. A story about faith, morals and scruples, something this world is severly lacking today. This is for all of those who wish to read a book without filth, sex and debauchery overall. I highly recommend it to all of my friends, and bought it for my mom who loved it also! Nicely done. Going to buy her new book, FIVE HEARTS next.

I really enjoyed the entire book from start to finish. It held my interest, it was intensely surprising page after page. I thought it would be strictly a chick book-and was totally surprised to see that I found it to be non gender based. Anyone could enjoy this if you like suspense and twists with surprise endings. Nice job swanson.

This is so frustrating to me as a reader, when I find such a phenomenal book with an amazing plot, twists turns and surprises. I loved all of the characters, especially the MC's - Dominique and Sam! If you love adventure, mystery, good characters versus evil characters, and shocking surprises throughout, this is the book for you. It is not gender directed, either man or woman will love it. It has a manly character guys can relate to, and a beautiful strong heroine women would love to be! Since I purchased this, I bought her other books too, she really is a fantastic author. Oh, and the best part, "no filth" just plain great action. Beautiful and smart and sassy relationship with Sam and Dominique... FIVE Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story was emotionally touching and compelling. I read quite a number of reviews and since the majority liked it, I went with those to purchase this book. I did enjoy it, there were a couple of editing errors, but I don't think it interfered with the plot or theme at all. So to the people/person who thought it was poor writing, I disagree. Editing, versus writing are essentially two different things. ThIs Christian book is worth the read, especially on NOOK. If you like romance, emotions, relationships, and down to earth dialogue, then go with it. If you are like the person/people who are interested in only picking up errors (typos-editing) then perhaps they should write their own books. Sorry for the disertation, but it bugs me when a person/people come in to bring down Authors, and it's something that happens quite a bit in this venue. God Bless.

A surprisingly good read. This story held my attention and didn't let it wander. At no point in time, did this story drag. The characters, especially the heroine, was strong and I loved she was Christian. This book was clean, entertaining, and filled my heart and soul with a good feeling! Thanks!

I liked this story and the characters very much. The first few pages grabbed my attention immediately, and before I knew it the story was over. It has the right amount of pages, so it doesn't drag on like some books do. It had flair, action, romance, mystery, and suspense. But,most especially it was packed with emotions. The finely developed main character(s) touched my heart in a big way. The relationship the MC had with her deceased father made me cry. The author is clearly a Christian and writes with integrity, details, and compassion. I really enjoyed it.

This was a cool book in all areas, romance, adventure, stuff that you didn't see coming, and a huge surprise that made me go "wow!" I really loved it, one of my best books I have read in a long time. Going to check out if this author has more books.

This book was immediately interesting, I couldn't begin to even tell you the plot, how many things happened and so many twists and surprises. It was really good. An unusual plot line too. I read others saying it should be a movie - it should.

All I know is I took a chance on an unknown after reading the fabulous reviews and seeing that the Author published with Thomas Nelson, and solely based on that,I purchased this novel. WOW-This book went beyond my expectations! It was magical, romantic, adventurous- I literally learned the meaning of "page turner" with this book. Phenomenal, I hear they are considering making this a movie of the week, and IF those rumors are true,I will record it,and watch it over and over again. As for now-I have an afterglow of "wow" from reading it. It will not disappoint. Highly recommend it. I recommend Angelina Jolie for the Main Character!

This was so good! It was very unusual and not your typical romantic mystery novels! It was so good -held surprises and twists and turns. So good, I cannot even begin to do it justice. This author wrote a fantastic book, and I just got her newest book, "The Inner Office of Samantha Evans" - I read it in ONE DAY - and it will become a series. I hope so! I love this author, brava - keep them coming and may you become as famous as Daniell Steel and Nora Roberts!

Very good book about a good woman filled with love for God and how she helps so many around her. Then the evil versus goodness comes along and all kinds of things happen, twists and surprises. Iloved it. Romance, love, hate, action, twists and so many good things in this book. Iloved it, and I love that the main person Dominique is a Christian who is filled with love for God. Good story. Powerful and well written!

I loved this book and I am going to buy all of this Author's books in the future. Her style of writing made me feel like I was in "the book" and with the characters! So easy to read, so thrilling, and the romance between the heroine and the wise guy, charming and intense. Very surprised, my friend told me to get it she has all of this author's other books, and she loved her from the start, so she got me hooked. I cannot wait to buy her next book, "The Inner Office of Samantha Evans" sounds like a great name for a great book! Great book for a birthday present or for whatever. I was so surprised at the end, never saw certain things coming, I don't want to spoil it for others, but there are a lot of twists, and I never guessed one! Good Job CD! Oops, I made a mistake I wanted it to be FIVE STAR RATING but it turned into a FOUR?? This is a five star book!! Please see my detailed review. LOVED IT~

My girlfriend made me read this book because she loved it so much, especially how sassy and classy the heroine was. I was so friggin surprised that I loved it! I thought it was strictly a "chick book" but it has entertainment value and action and suspense that any guy would love. I recommend it, if your girl gives it to you to read, READ IT! Wow, I will never judge a book by its cover again! LOL.

This was so good, I never put it down!! I read it while relaxing in my yard. I hope the author writes part two, I loved the main characters so much. It was an intensely entertaining book.

Good story, I really didn't see the ending coming at all. Kept me pondering through the whole book. Really liked this. I read it on Nook. Good writing. Going to check out her other books too.

I enjoyed it, but liked her new one better. I came here after reading the authors newest book, FIVE HEARTS: A Tale of Faith, Love & Destiny. I really loved that one, so after reading it last week I purchased THE CHATEAU two days ago. I liked the MC and the plot, but found it to be a little slow in the first few chapters. Afterwards, it moved smoothly. There was a lot of emotional charge within the pages, and deep intellectual inward dialogue about life, and faith, and love. Good story. She is an emotional writer with "character driven plots." Nicely done. I recommend her FIVE HEARTS. It was clean and a really good book. I'm going to post a review on there too.

I enjoyed the character driven plot and the time the author puts into the background of the MCs. They were all diverse and interesting and I especially enjoyed the MCs morale fiber that she exhibited throughout the book. She never lost sight of her upbringing or her Christian values. A read well worth the money. Probably would be better told in a "TBN" movie. It has all the makings of television movie for a Christian station. No filth, no smut. Good romance and conflicting characters with a good storyline. Easy clean read. Simple yet enjoyable read.

Good storyline, interesting & different. Not the usual plot, very character driven with tender moments and emotional. Loved the flashbacks of the MC's father, beautiful relationship. Sweet read. Some parts dragged, but picked up towards the middle. Nice romantic sweet read. Obviously written by a Christian author, faith is apparent through out the book.

FYI: There is a certain "anonymous" in here who always pops in to give a one star review. This individual winds up putting the same words, paraphrasing here and there, but it's the same pattern. Stating it's Horrible, and a book club, so on and so forth. The person hides behind "anonymous." I find it very sad that a person would go out of their way to berate an author, hurting their reputation as a writer. I hope barnes and noble puts a stop to it. The book is a CHRISTIAN BOOK with values and emotions. If you aren't into clean emotionally charged books with morales don't buy it. Here's a clue, if it's a Christian book, it will be CLEAN. And by the way I AM a friend of the author. As for the rest of the five star reviews, just regular people who enjoy a good read.

This book was a positive huge breath of fresh air. It was so enjoyable and so down to earth. In other words, so easy to read, so smooth and so emotionally rewarding. I loved the characters (the main ones) who had scruples, and morales. The MC was sweet, smart intelligent and strong in character and faith. The timely dialogue both thoughts and spoken, were touching. The conflicting feelings with the two MC's was exciting and kept me wanting to turn the pages. The plot was so different, yet believable. I just loved this whole book. It was a pleasure to read. I have read this Author's other non-fiction books. They were all sharp and brought forth messages that were inspiring. This book and the Chief's Niece were thrilling, and enticing....yet it was obvious a woman of faith wrote them. I highly recommend this book, and ALL her other books. I will buy all of this author's books in the future. I'm hooked.

I Read this after reading her newest book, "The Chief's Niece" I enjoyed that one SO MUCH - I thought I would try another of her books. I wasn't sorry. Although I really enjoyed this one very much, I enjoyed her newest one more. But clearly the author's style is classy and easy to read. Clean, suspenseful, and riveting moments. I loved the MC Dominique. I only read Christian books and Ms. Swanson did not disappoint. Loved it.
