I truly enjoyed the story and romance in this book. After reading all of the customers comments/reviews I decided to purchase it. I was surprised at the "scathing denigrating" review by one customer. So I went with the other comments and took a chance-and I was glad that I did. The story was clean and pure and had a good message of morality involved. It was fast moving and never boring, and I thought the MC was a strong classy woman with brains and spirit. It wasn't overdone or underdone in style or format-it was just right. I really liked it. When I buy books and see one or two "bad reviews" which are in the minority I always feel "sad" when reviewers "bash the authors" - that doesn't help the readers. A simple "yes I liked it- or no I it wasn't my cup of tea will suffice" anything longer-please put it in your own book!

I got this after seeing about the main character working in a nursing home, and I do too, so I bought it on that alone. I was so into this book, it really is a fascinating and interesting read. I loved the shocking ending.

I really liked this book. The romance was good and not filthy or offensive. I found it hard to put down and so finished it in two days. I loved the whole storyline and all of the characters. It was quirky and poignant at once.

I picked up this book based on the 5 star glowing reviews by other readers. I like a good adventure. I like a good romance. I like a godly book. But most of all, I like a well written book. This was none of the above. The grammar was atrocious. It took me forever to get into it b/c it would skip from first person to third person and made absolutely no sense. I am not talking differing perspectives; i'm talking blatant disregard for basic writing principles. The dialog was horrible. The style elementary. The story dreadful. It may rank as as the worst book I've ever read. There are far better moral Christian writers out there. Awful!

This was a cool book in all areas, romance, adventure, stuff that you didn't see coming, and a huge surprise that made me go "wow!" I really loved it, one of my best books I have read in a long time. Going to check out if this author has more books.

This book was immediately interesting, I couldn't begin to even tell you the plot, how many things happened and so many twists and surprises. It was really good. An unusual plot line too. I read others saying it should be a movie - it should.

I really enjoyed the entire book from start to finish. It held my interest, it was intensely surprising page after page. I thought it would be strictly a chick book-and was totally surprised to see that I found it to be non gender based. Anyone could enjoy this if you like suspense and twists with surprise endings. Nice job swanson.

This is so frustrating to me as a reader, when I find such a phenomenal book with an amazing plot, twists turns and surprises. I loved all of the characters, especially the MC's - Dominique and Sam! If you love adventure, mystery, good characters versus evil characters, and shocking surprises throughout, this is the book for you. It is not gender directed, either man or woman will love it. It has a manly character guys can relate to, and a beautiful strong heroine women would love to be! Since I purchased this, I bought her other books too, she really is a fantastic author. Oh, and the best part, "no filth" just plain great action. Beautiful and smart and sassy relationship with Sam and Dominique... This was a sweet book and I really liked it. I am a senior citizen and enjoyed the simplicity and down to earth way the author told a story. It was an enjoyable and pleasant read. A perfect book to escape from reality and get into a highly entertaining romantic adventure. What I really appreciated was the story being told without cussing and filth.

Bought it based on the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Good adventure- and a fantastic story filled with romance, adventure and surprises. This was easy to read and I couldn't put it down. I loved the author's writing style - she wasn't showing off or condescending to her audience like some authors can be. A good Chrisitan story, I enjoyed it very much. Nicely done, and totally enjoyable romp!

This is an excellent book and one of which shocked me throughout. Adventurous, mystery element to it, and great style of writing (don't want to give it away, but the author does something unique in her writing I haven't seen before!) Characters were interesting and never dull, and I couldn't put it down, as cliche as this sounds, "It was a true page turner" and I never knew what was coming next. Not too sappy, but romance sprinkled in with just the right touch, realistic like events, and really heart warming moments throughout- I laughed with the two main characters,and their witty dialogue battling. LOVED IT - going to lend it to all of my friends! Never saw the end coming! Totally blew me away in complete and utter surprise! LOVED IT!

This was an intoxicating read, I truly enjoyed every single second of this book. It was like I had to find out more and more, and it was truly one of the best books I have read to date. This was clever writing, and the author played with the reader not giving away anything, so when things came to light, you swallowed your tongue in shock! It was fantastic, and I want to be Dominique! Loved it.

All I know is I took a chance on an unknown after reading the fabulous reviews and seeing that the Author published with Thomas Nelson, and solely based on that,I purchased this novel. WOW-This book went beyond my expectations! It was magical, romantic, adventurous- I literally learned the meaning of "page turner" with this book. Phenomenal, I hear they are considering making this a movie of the week, and IF those rumors are true,I will record it,and watch it over and over again. As for now-I have an afterglow of "wow" from reading it. It will not disappoint. Highly recommend it. I recommend Angelina Jolie for the Main Character!

This was so good! It was very unusual and not your typical romantic mystery novels! It was so good -held surprises and twists and turns. So good, I cannot even begin to do it justice. This author wrote a fantastic book, and I just got her newest book, "The Inner Office of Samantha Evans" - I read it in ONE DAY - and it will become a series. I hope so! I love this author, brava - keep them coming and may you become as famous as Daniell Steel and Nora Roberts!

Very good book about a good woman filled with love for God and how she helps so many around her. Then the evil versus goodness comes along and all kinds of things happen, twists and surprises. Iloved it. Romance, love, hate, action, twists and so many good things in this book. Iloved it, and I love that the main person Dominique is a Christian who is filled with love for God. Good story. Powerful and well written!

I really liked this novel, it was an instant classic to me. It had an old time feel with a lot of action, mystery and a gorgeous chick with brains who has scruples of women from years past, and all the stuff that happens, with surprises and things that I never saw coming, it was really a great book. I will recommend this to everyone I know. I think she has another one coming out soon, "the inner office of samantha evans" i have to buy that one too, she is a really good writer.

I loved this book and I am going to buy all of this Author's books in the future. Her style of writing made me feel like I was in "the book" and with the characters! So easy to read, so thrilling, and the romance between the heroine and the wise guy, charming and intense. Very surprised, my friend told me to get it she has all of this author's other books, and she loved her from the start, so she got me hooked. I cannot wait to buy her next book, "The Inner Office of Samantha Evans" sounds like a great name for a great book! Great book for a birthday present or for whatever. I was so surprised at the end, never saw certain things coming, I don't want to spoil it for others, but there are a lot of twists, and I never guessed one! Good Job CD! Oops, I made a mistake I wanted it to be FIVE STAR RATING but it turned into a FOUR?? This is a five star book!! Please see my detailed review. LOVED IT~

My girlfriend made me read this book because she loved it so much, especially how sassy and classy the heroine was. I was so friggin surprised that I loved it! I thought it was strictly a "chick book" but it has entertainment value and action and suspense that any guy would love. I recommend it, if your girl gives it to you to read, READ IT! Wow, I will never judge a book by its cover again! LOL.

This was so good, I never put it down!! I read it while relaxing in my yard. I hope the author writes part two, I loved the main characters so much. It was an intensely entertaining book.

Lov3d this book. There were surprises throughout the whole book. The characters are so good, I never wanted it to end! Grab this book for your summer beach reading, you will get a tan without trying, you will never stop reading! LOVED IT! Going to buy more of her books now!
