I really liked this novel, it was an instant classic to me. It had an old time feel with a lot of action, mystery and a gorgeous chick with brains who has scruples of women from years past, and all the stuff that happens, with surprises and things that I never saw coming, it was really a great book. I will recommend this to everyone I know. I think she has another one coming out soon, "the inner office of samantha evans" i have to buy that one too, she is a really good writer.

This was such a surprise - I picked it up at Barnes and Noble and could not believe how good it was. The writer's style is free flowing like I am sitting in the room watching it live! It was powerful, intensely satisfying, and left me wishing I had a sequel to read immediately!!! I loved it. This book was full of old fashioned values, like a book from a "film noir" classy, riveting and great love story filed wtih villians and goodness. No filth, no profanity - just pure reading delight and twist

I found this a very enjoyable read, the characters were interesting and the ending is one I never saw coming. I liked the messages of faith sprinkled throughout, but none seemed forced or preachy. Such a nice clean cut read - romance without being at all vulgar. The book was intriguing and entertaining. I intend to purchase more from this author

I read this book in between helping my daughter move and rearranging my house, so it took me 3 days, but I would have finished it a lot sooner. This is the kind of book where you can't put it down and after you finish you are hungering for MORE.... Ms. Swanson is a gifted and blessed writer. I pray God has BIG THINGS IN STORE, for her. She is doing his work here on earth by touching peoples hearts and souls and hopefully turning or introducing them to a GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD!!!!!!!! Kudos to you,

I liked the book it was pleasant enough to pass the time and held my interest. I enjoyed the suspense and it was a good plot. It was hardly "The worst book" as some critic in here said - and it was hardly "the best" as many in here have said. But that is what it is all about opinions. Everyone has their own style and likings. I would recommend it as simply a good book. I think people should just come in here and say "like it yes or no" I cannot stand when readers get so dramatic with "the worst book" or "the best book." That is what makes a world, some will like and some won't. After seeing "the worst book" two times in here - I think it is the same person, because no way is this book the worst book of all time. I have read many a dud and this is not one of them. Worth the money on nook.

This was a sweet book and I really liked it. I am a senior citizen and enjoyed the simplicity and down to earth way the author told a story. It was an enjoyable and pleasant read. A perfect book to escape from reality and get into a highly entertaining romantic adventure. What I really appreciated was the story being told without cussing and filth.

Bought it based on the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Good adventure- and a fantastic story filled with romance, adventure and surprises. This was easy to read and I couldn't put it down. I loved the author's writing style - she wasn't showing off or condescending to her audience like some authors can be. A good Chrisitan story, I enjoyed it very much. Nicely done, and totally enjoyable romp!

Fast moving plot takes you right into the pages. Wanted to know what happened so read it in two days. Interesting style. Great job with the romance department, and the emotional moments.

This was merely a good book to pass the time. The author established the characters really well, and the dialogue was "as if I was in the room listening to average people speaking." So, that was realistic, no high-faluting pretense, just natural "writing." I have noticed that the "one star ratings in here" have all said the "same thing" - I wonder if it is the same person over and over again? Because, this was hardly a "high school" book, and it is certainly not the "worst book" ever written. Everyone is entitled to opinions-but clearly this "one star" phantom who signs anonymous, is out to destroy the authors reputation or something. But, the other "realistic" views speak volumes for this book. Sorry for the long drawn out litany, but it saddens me when I see things like this. I have done this for other authors as well. This is not a fantastic read, but it is definitely very good and worthy of a read.

This was a different and interesting read. The author's storyline was well thought out, and held my attention. The characters were three dimensional and solid, providing the audience a chance to get to know them. It was a good book, and well written, I liked it.

The characters in this book were highly intricate and clearly defined. I truly felt as if I knew them intimately by time the book concluded. It was a strong plot, with emotional moments intertwined with ups and downs. Nicely done. I recommend it if you like romance and adventure.

Different kind of romance novel. It was entertaining and interesting, and I found it pleasing to be able to get through a book without explicit sex and violence, that alone earned the five stars. But, the rest of the story, romance, and suspense made it all the more sweeter.

I really felt as if I was emotionally involved with the MC. My heart went out to her so many times in all that happened, I felt like I knew her personally. Nicely told, and a quick fast read with events that led to a solid storyline and a interesting ending. I recommend this to anyone who likes romance and clean easy reading.

Very Interesting. The author has a very different style, not overwhelmingly pretentious like most authors can be. I found this enjoyable and it kept me guessing. If you like romance without filth, you will like this "breath of fresh air" book.

This was interesting and pushed my emotions to high levels in various places throughout the story. The characters were believable, and the MC was extremely likeable. I really enjoyed it. Good plot and I was surprised in several key moments. I think it was worth the time and the money.

Good job with romance and suspense without filth. The MC was a vulnerable yet strong woman with values and held them throughout the entire storyline. Finally a story that was both entertaining and refreshing at once.

Hubby and I read this together and we both liked it so much. We truly couldn't wait to get home from work to see what happened next. we were not disappointed one iota, simply put-delightful.

Enjoyed this book, the author put a quick spin on the plot. It had good characters and emotional scenes that made you connect with the MC on many levels. Clean without the usualy filth in most novels of today. Worth the money and worth your time. I liked it very much.

I really liked this story for many reasons, one of which was the lack of prolific filth and/or cursing. I enjoyed the simplicity- the author didn't make me run for the dictionary or scratch my head and say, "what the heck does that mean?" The dialogue felt real not pretentious. The plot was laced with emotions throughout, and I felt connected to the MC.

Easy reading, nice adventure, surprising moments and nice romance. All of which I truly treasure, but like someone else said in here - no filth attached with the story, loved that the most. I don't understand some of the harsh comments in here, this was simply a good book that made me forget my troubles in my life. Well done - thanks.
