Fan of the TV show but not this Cookbook

I bought the book and promptly returned it. After skimming the contents, there was little I would follow through with planning and prep. A few recipes were keepers, i.e. Michael Symon's Paella and several of Clinton Kelly's. There were too many other recipes that I would not prepare in the form presented. Personally, I think the decision makers tried to offer some tried and true recipes but with some unusual twists to make them different from other available cookbooks. I will continue to get recipes, especially Clinton, from The Chew website.

DO NOT BUY? IS NOT WHAT IT SAYS IT IS. NOT THE BOOK

The layout sucks. There are hardly any recipes. Its more of a how to do simple crap. Thought it was the new book that came out. Even the sales clerk at B&N couldnt understand why it was like that. Made several email attempts to get a refund. $9.99 for this is a major rip off.

    Very good, so far

I bought the cookbook because I enjoy the show and it seemed to have a good mix of recipes from the various cooks. With the cold weather right now, I've been having a lot of soup recently, so have made Daphne's Veggie Chili, Michael's Chicken Chili and Carla's Curried Chicken and Dumplings and all have been thoroughly enjoyed.

Good reference book along with recipes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hints given for entertaining or setting a table or craft ideas or tips on recipes for flavoring food. Even the recipes were great. Nice of Mario to tell what page the recipe is on.

    The Chew

I like the show, people in the show, all I need is to be in the show. Like Carla, Michael, Clinton, Mario, and last but not least Daphne. Their instructions on how everything is done are clear.
