Peaceful Valley is about to become a slaughterhouse!

For the first time ever, Samhain Publishing will serialize a terrifying original novel, Savage Species, in five installments, with new installments coming every two weeks.

The construction of the Peaceful Valley Nature Preserve, a sprawling, isolated state park, has stirred an evil that has lain dormant for nearly a century, and all the men, women and children unlucky enough to be attending the grand opening are about to encounter the most horrific creatures to ever walk the earth.

Part Two: The Children

Jesse, Emma and their companions must fight for their lives against the horde of bloodthirsty creatures known as the Children. Meanwhile, Charly and Sam follow the trail of Charly’s missing baby below ground to a hidden cave system. But they’re followed by Charly’s husband, who has murder on his mind…

First off, I enjoyed the book. Buyer beware, either the author, publisher or B&N have done an awful job of marketing the books and the order they are in. If you enjoy the first book, NIGHT TERRORS, purchase the books 2-5 via SAVAGE SPECIES. I liked the first book so much, I immediantly went online and purchased all of the rest. Nowhere on the site does it state all the books are contained in SAVAGE SPECIES. So I purchased all the books when all I needed to do was purchase SAVAGE SPECIES. Now these were ebooks, so only talking about $6, but still was a disappointment never the less.

    Rip off!

Pages 1-119 are from the first book in this series, and the last page is 217 (out of 234 pages). Granted, the book was only $1.50, but i'm still irritated. I'm guessing this "series" adds up to an average length book, but the author is being greedy. I won't be buying anymore...

    Beware...

...The Children, they have very sharp daggers for teeth and razortips for fingers and a serious penchant for shredding human flesh and drawing blood. Part Two rocks on as the Peaceful Valley campground survivors attempt to flee as the the Children wreak havoc. Janz's keeps the rollercoaster pace going, interspersed with wit and dark humor. Frank Red Elk should be a national treasure...sort of! Must read ebook novella series!
