Incredible story from Ishar P. Singh, I was transported to a world which draws off of the history of Punjab and its people.

This book hopefully sets the scene for many more of its kind!

The story does a great job of mixing fiction with true life events taken from the history of Punjab, which some may find surprising, enlightening a new generation, to the struggles Sikhs have faced.

I am waiting in anticipation to read what next Ishar P. Singh releases!

In film and print, Sikhs are mostly portrayed as either fundamentalists or jokers, so it was refreshing to read a story with seemingly normal Sikhs. I enjoyed seeing the growth of the characters over the book, and I love how Ishar weaves in historical details without it feeling forced.

TLDR: Entertaining. Refreshing. Funny. 5 stars.
