Overview

It's been two and a half years since the American council defeated the Burilgi rebel Aros Kreskas and restored order to their world. With the Children of the Sun, the militaristic cult of vampire hunters, in a period of apparent dormancy, the vampires of North America have enjoyed a time of relative peace. Two Majors has spent the years focusing on training with body and sword, and on rebuilding the life that was torn away from her by Abraham. She still holds out hope that she might someday locate her friend Tori, and bring the former vampire to salvation, but with each passing day that outcome seems less and less likely.

When The Children of the Sun strike at a trio of vampires visiting Chicago, it begins a war that will eventually devastate the American council and threaten every vampire not only in that country, but in all the world. The Children have found their weapon, and trained her, and now she has become an engine of destruction hell-bent on eradicating every last vampire on earth. Tori Perrault, once like a sister to Two, is now her greatest enemy.

Survival depends on a desperate plan: Two and her companions must take the fight to the Children themselves, or risk losing everything. There is no choice but to fight, and only one question remains: where, exactly, can the Children be found?

Perfect ending to a fabulous series

Love, love, love this series. It is a very fresh take on vampires. The final book more than delivers. I predict that this author is going to go far :-)

I can say with absolute convection that this is an excellent book and a terrific end to the II AM Trilogy. Although I would prefer it not to end and it is selfish of me I know, but after you read all three books you will feel the same way. I feel you could read this book as a standalone but you really would be lost as to the history of the characters. I highly recommend that you read the other two first to in order to fully grasp the magnitude of the story.
Please do yourself a favor and read the previous two books, the first book, The Blood That Bonds (The II AM Trilogy) is currently free on Amazon. I loved this book and you will too I am certain of it.

I had the privilage of reading this a bit earlier than most and I must say, I am a lucky girl!! I have been following Chris' work for some time now and can't seem to get enough of his creative brain!! I must applaude him on this one simply because I couldn't have asked for a better ending than this. If you are looking for a great series, this one is for you. Whether you are into vampires or not, this series is well written, emotional, action packed, etc. Enjoy!!

    To unfinished business and CB

Sorry CB but im gonna have to agree with unfinished business on this one. I love the series and all but theres gonna have to be some kind of closure. Not saying that i want the series to end though it must b tiring to keep one series going on for so long but i think tori deserves a little happiness in here hell hole of a life. Maybe Naomi and Thomas cant start their own series. I also think leonore an tori should be able o find their soul mates too. Or maybe something happens to where molly has to b turned. Idk. Looking forward to the movie (hint, hint) and keep the books coming!!

    Unfinished buisness

The book was awesome. All three were awesome. But i feel that the ending of the book with the little boys in the forest finding Tori was a little bit of a throw off. Quite frankly i dont CB should end the series like such. Now i think many people feel the same way. I think we need to know how tori gets her recenge on the remaining men that killed her parents. I also think two and theroen are up for one last adventure. I want to see more of two and theroen as a couple. I feel that tori has unfinished buisness. Im a little dissapointed in the length of the book. I also want to know what happened with naomi ad thomas and sasha and leonore and rheys and molly and sarah an their newborn............. i hope CB finishes his awesome creation. Just one last book please. And what is up with THE GOD MACHIENE is that the last book to the series or what?

Loved It!!!!!!! (Spoilers in this review)

I have read all three books about Two, and I loved them. With this last installment Two and Theron take on the leader of the children of the sun, along the way they find Tori and somewhat restore her memory. Tori is still not all happy happy that Two did come back, however is not trying to kill her now. Until the epilogue you think that Tori dies when the building explodes with Tori the leader and another comrade inside it. It is a very good book and like the last two I could not put it down and hope that Tori will have a book or more soon.

A terrric ending to a terrific series

This book grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go! Nonstop action. Well written, exiting. You'll want it to go on and on. You'll be wishing for a fourth and a fifth (and so on) book.
