Meet the Author

Richard Keep, a former teacher of graphic and studio arts in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, is also a NY Times best-selling children's author/illustrator. He co-creates books with his wife, Linda Lowery, and has won honors for his recent solo picture books. He lives with Ms. Lowery in the colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. NY Times best-selling author/illustrator Linda Lowery has created more than 40 books for young readers, including novels, non-fiction, and picture books. Born and raised in Chicago, Ms. Lowery enjoys travelling and writing from multicultural perspectives. Janice Lee Porter was born and raised in Chicago. After completing her BFA in painting at Kansas City Art Institute in 1978, she moved to Minneapolis. There she worked as a graphic designer and exhibiting painter. She is the illustrator of two dozen children's books. Ms. Porter moved to California in 2003, where she completed her MFA degree at California State University, Chico.
